Illustrations on film and in comic books

Did you know the world of illustrations and designs are impacted each day by the motion graphic designers? The expert illustrators careful evolve an image frame by frame. Whether they’re creating an explainer video or the opening title sequence of a movie, motion graphic designers bring movement to otherwise static images, text, illustrations, and more.

This Superman film is another great example of great design, illustrated heroes brought to life on film, and how Comic-Con continues to market and promote these types of films as part of their mission.

Bravo to all those talented illustrators and doodlers who faithful go each year to Comic-Con. They show and sell their comic books, t-shirts and memorabilia tirelessly.

I had the pleasure of working with one of these comic strip enthusiasts. Just before his departure to the 2015 show, he asked my help with pricing of his comic book. I learned quickly from him about the cult following our childhood superheroes. So many continue to get great joy from attending not only Comic-Con but purchasing comic books and movie tickets.

Who’s your favorite illustrator? Mine is Charles Schultz and my superhero is Snoopy. My fascination with Schultz began with the comic strip and then transferred to the short holiday films that were released.
